Is it normal for a primary care doctor to drop you for not visiting often?

I think problems in medical care are greed in addition to excessive free care in the USA. This was not an issue when i was younger.

They are responsible for your health whether you see them or not, so if you don't see them for a long time they need to break off that responsibility because they have no idea how you're actually doing. Also, doctors can only take on a certain number of patients, so by not going in you're interfering with their ability to care for other people who need it.
