Tattoos? Are they sexy?

Are they sexy? I was thinking about getting one in my lower back of my birth sign, Scorpio (scorpion.)

And also, for people who've gotten them, what did it feel like? When you got them, was it like, getting a medcial needle, over and over again? I watched my sister get hers on her calf, she flinched a lot and bit her teeth but that didn't seem so extreme for people who say they hurt all that bad. And in the lower back? I'm really thinking about it, so tell me your experiences, please!

LoL @ Vagitarian... Yeah, its a tramp stamp. I have a tat on my lower back, and though that wasnt my intention a lot of people see it that way. No regrets though, so I could care less.

I love tattoos, but as my luck has it..every guy I've been in a relationship with would have preferrred it if I didn't have any at all. They get over it though... So don't get a tat with it in mind to look sexy or more desirable, cause you may just end up being disappointed or regretting it if it desnt have that effect on your love interest. Do it for you.

Mine are so much a part of me, they are no different than birthmarks to me...and they both have strong personal meaning to me...which is actually why those I've been in a relationship with didn't make a big deal out of them.

I don't think tattoos are sexy. Trashy, trampy, tacky, ugly, stupid. But not sexy .

And the lower back tattoos are a fad that's on the way out.

Remember when you were 8 years old? Remember how you liked Barney the Dinosaur, or Barbie, or something similar? You had Barney blankets, Barney toys, Barney birthday cake.

Remember how when you were 14 your tastes changed, and you thought Barney was dumb?

If you get a tattoo at 18, you'll think it's the coolest thing since the beginning of time. Your tastes will change. When you're 28, you'll look at it and wonder how you could have been so dumb.

And you'll remember when you were 8 years old, and couldn't get enough Barney...

Personally I think tattoos are trashy.

In general what I know about them is this: If you get one in a spot where there's a lot of muscle underneath (calves, etc) itll hurt a lot more.

As far as the lower back goes, small feminine tattoos on the lower back are referred to by guys as "tramp stamps" or "skank stamps" because with the way theyre placed and how small they are, only someone in the process of having sex with you from behind can get a really clear view of it, so there's a joke that says that when a girl gets a tattoo there its to give the guys who are doing her doggystyle something to look at.
