Guys, do tattoos make a woman more attractive/sexy?

I (20F) don’t have tattoos and don’t plan on getting any.
Most of my friends are getting them and encouraging me to get one but I’m just not a fan of how they look. I personally don’t think the female body needs ink to be attractive. I also don’t love anything enough to have it etched into my skin for my whole life. And I know my taste will change in the future so I just can’t commit to having something so permanent.

But everyone seems to have them nowadays so sometimes I feel boring and uninteresting because I don’t have any.

Just interested to see what males think about tattoos on women.

Tattoos COMPLETELY ruin the effect of looking sexy.

It reminds me of the 90's show, "Ally McBeal." She would be walking down the street thinking positive thoughts, and then come to an unpleasant realization. The sound of a scratching record would emphasize her new epiphany.

I have the same experience when I see an attractive woman that has a look that really pushes my button. It's all wonderful music until she turns and I see a tattoo. The sound of the scratching record enters my mind, and the attraction is instantly killed. What a waste...

Studies have also shown that people with tattoos are seen as more promiscuous. Looking at someone that has a permanent badge that says, "I will fuck you quickly" is also a real turn-off.

Women with tattoos have also sacrificed the ability ever again be perceived as elegant. An attractive woman wearing an elegant dress AND sporting a tattoo is like mixing oil and water. It just does not work.

I have also noticed that women with tattoos tend to be VERY sheepy. They will follow that crowd with reckless abandon while telling everyone they are an independent person, and no one tells them what to do. I fully understand it's dangerous to paint all tattoo-wielding women with such a broad brush, but perception is reality.

It doesn't make you more attractive. It doesn't look terrible either, unless the tattoo is on the face. Some girls look nice with them, depending on where they are, but it was nothing to do with attractive.

A good personality and being a respectful person is what makes you attractive. I have 3 tattoos and a lot of people told me 'Oh, they are permanent and you are stuck with them".

I never met anyone who ever regretted a tattoo, unless they were drunk or high on something, but even then, most tattoo parlors will not tattoo someone who is under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Movies kind of exaggerate when it comes to getting a tattoo when drunk or high. Alcohol can cause series bleeding from the tattoo equipment and people on drugs often don't sit still.

Tattoos does not make a person unattractive either though. Personally, I would not date someone who thought like that because that's just judgmental. I had a friend once who got a little butterfly on her ankle and a lot of the guys loved it.

Don't let someone talk you into getting a tattoo. Only get one if you want one, and if you ever do, get something tattooed that means something to you. But no, it has nothing to do with attraction.

That's what tattoos are: graffiti. Tattoos cannot improve a value, they ALWAYS LOWER the value - the only question is "by how much". Some tattoos don't do great damage, but most lower the value significantly.

The vast majority of men prefer women who are ALL NATURAL (at least, when we're talking about actual relationships - plenty of guys who hate tattoos will still pursue you for casual sex; you'll just ever be taken seriously as a relationship partner). Of course, some exceptions exist, but do you want to have 85% of men available to you or 15% of men available to you? That's the choice you're making. And most people won't tell you the truth to your face, but their actions reveal their true feelings.

Though I tend to agree with you, that they are not that appealing. I have only one tattoo that is more symbolic. I think bare skin is very attractive/sexy, more so than the vast majority of tattoos. Actually, I can't think of any tattoos that are sexier than just clean, smooth, unblemished nude skin.

One or two small discrete tatts are fine , but the full coverage sleeves, legs, face and body tatts are just ugly and garish. Also the cheap ink thrown on randomly that looks like it was drawn on with a sharpie or a crayon is horrible as well. It makes you look like an ink stamp test pad. It just ruins the look of an otherwise beautiful woman. This also goes for the unnatural, sloppily applied hair dye color and that horseshoe, pot metal, boogger that seems to be hanging from everyone's nose nowadays... I know some of you think it looks cool or edgy or some stupid shit like that but in reality, it just looks freakish, grotesque and trashy.

A tattoo has to be a work of art and then it has to flow with the body the way the body moves as one that's the only way that I would get a tattoo

And as of today I still don't have any and probably never will. I don't need a conversational piece I don't need to tell part of my life story I mean I just really don't need one but on other people sure I like them as long as they flow with the body movement they can't just be in this big old tattoo on your arm or something it has to flow with everything and everything you do and that's hard to find a good artist that can do that

Girls with tattoos grew on me a lot but I wouldn't say it's better than the normal full skinned look on a woman, now if the girl is into that hippy vibe and stuff and thats why she got tats then maybe, cause I got a sweet spot for hippy girls

I think it depends on the woman. Some women, it goes with their style/compliments their look, however, I've seen women with tattoos that really shouldn't have bothered. You can tell when someone gets a tattoo just because it's trendy, there's no meaning behind it and its not well thought out. I am of a similar opinion, if you are going to ink yourself, make sure it's totally you because it is permanent.

No they don’t , It’s a 50/50 chance , I know people that got tattoos and they look horrible with them , and some have them and they look good on them , so tattoos are just like clothes in a sense , if you have a nice outfit that you think looks good on you it might not look good on you to others , but that same outfit might look good on someone else. So it’s always a 50/50 chance , bottomline just be who you want to be and don’t give a fuck what others think

The right tattoo in the right place can be sexy, yes. Just as some tattoos in other places are, for me, a turn off.

Imagine you have two cars of the same make and model but one of them is covered in graffiti; which one would you rather drive? All getting one will do is make you look trashier, and for what? Tattoos don't make people more interesting. I'm okay with a girl having a couple of tattoos that were particularly meaningful for her but getting inked up looks super trashy and is like drawing graffiti on the female form.

You should do you and not make choices you are unsure about. Some women with tattoos look awesome and some look awful in my opinion - I don't like face and neck tattoos but arms /body /legs can look great if they are well done and not too extensive but we all have different views. In short, yes women can look sexy with tattoos but also without - for me, I found confidence sexy, so whatever you choose do it with pride and self-belief.

lots of variables to this. 1st it varies per person (guys and girls) . 2nd is what type of tat it is. 3rd where the tat is. 4th is how many tats if more than 1 and how comfortable the other person is with them.

To me, I find it very attractive when a woman have a tattoo especially on the thier feet, leg, thighs, back, stomach, breast, butt, and arms but except on thier face.
