Why do girls look me funny when I say I don't like sports?

Why do women or any one for that matter look at me funny when I say I can't stomic athletic sports I find it really boring to watch on TV or in person I hate working out or playing sports

I am a huge gear head I like to go camping hunting and fishing I love to build things mostly hot rods and classic cars and a lot of interests

I just want to know why people find strange a guy hates sports

I think it just makes some women wonder if you aren't really manly, for lack of a better term. Instead of saying you hate sports, you should just say that you don't have time for organized sports because you are too busy building things (emphasize cars) and being in the outdoors. Then they will be reassured that you are a manly man.

Because it's a stereotypical male thing. I think it's cool when guys don't like sports.

I guess because a lot of men do like sports. It's seen as a typical male interest/hobby.

Though, I don't see it as strange, I know tons of guys who aren't into sports.
