Water fasts are not good for your body AT ALL. Fasting simply should not be done while exercising period. Fasting already sends your body into panic mode because you are starving yourself. Adding another stress to your body on top of that only worsens problems. For permanent results, you will need to make permanent changes. I suggest controlling portion sizes and exercising daily if you want to lose weight.
If you are dead set on fasting, then you need to be careful. Don't water fast for more than a day. If you want to fast for longer, then you can do a juice fast. This provides your body with some nourishment, so you can actually do it for weeks. Still, I don't think fasting is a good idea. Be careful!
Honestly, society has this crazy idea that fasting is the perfect solution. All it does it break down the muscle that you need to speed up your metabolism. Sure, it gets rid of the weight quickly, but believe me, it won't stay off and you'll just end up feeling even worse. Moreover, you'll be tired and will perform badly in other areas of your life.
The best way to go is to just eat a healthy diet, with all the nutrient groups, with proper portions and exercise regularly. It takes longer, but the results are worth it. The weight stays off, and you've also got a healthier lifestyle.
If you want to fast 100% for weight loss, you will end up losing a lot of muscle with it (which will leave you looking flabby and just like a smaller version of yourself for the most part).
Intermittent fasting is far more effective. Eat 8 hours out of the day, and don't eat at all for the other 16. Eat high protein. Boom weight gone.
fasting usually doesn't work. You can end up with health problems and later on you put on weight. Just get the exercise and keep a healthy diet.
I am walking about 25 miles a week; eating meals recommended by a nutrionist; and I drink fluids all day long. I have lost a lot of weight in 3 months. Not drinking fluids is dangerous.

It is strain on your body. You are not getting fat like this but you are not getting what your body needs. If you plan to work out a little while fasting even worse! You put more strain on your body. You will harm yourself.
Eat normally and work out much more.

Are you gaining fat, or gaining water?
If you're retaining water, you don't need a water fast, but drinking much more water will help you retain less.
If you're gaining fat because of hormonal changes you are going to make a long term adjustment to your calorie intake.
I'd also suggest you weight yourself daily for two months, because you need to either not watch small weight fluctuations, or learn how your water weight changes over your monthly cycle.
eat protein in the morning because it keeps you full for awhile. try greek yogurt, it has a lot of protein and is good for you. Also, eat a small snack during the day like an apple and eat smaller portions and a light dinner and no carbs after four. Run a lot too because it keeps you toned and healthy :)
The longer you fast, the more your body will break down MUSCLE and fat, losing muscle will lower your metablism, making you fatter once you go back to your normal diet.
You need to workout to maintain your muscle mass and increase your metabolism. HIIT training is great for this.
Fasting is fine for religious purposes, but it is by no means a healthy way to live.
You want to gradually eat less throughout the day. Fasting involves late night festivities which go right to your gut.
You can'twork out a lot while fasting. Maybe isometrics and core muscle exercise a little, but not much aerobics or cardio!

fasting will just make you gain weight because your metabolism will slow down excessively. The reason it slows down is because your body thinks it is being starved and it trying to retain fat in order to stay alive.

But yeah- your body is just trying to survive as long as possible. So Less in= less used by body.
Don't fast off food and especially not water! Your body can't go more than 3 weeks w/o food and 3 days w/o water. Its very dangerous.
Don't. It's temporary results. Instead, eat fruit and only fruit for breakfast - from the time your rise until noon. Don't drink your calories. In two weeks you'll be thinner
fruit contains lots of (natural) sugar.. Not the best choice to eat lots of fruit if you want to lose weight.
