my neighborhood is really hilly, so when I run, I power walk up, and run down. does this even do anything to lose weight? since running on a flat surface is harder lol?
Yes and no Yes because walking/running is good period and no because, yes you are running but your muscles aren't having to do as much work when running downhill. So switch that up and run up hill power walk downhill. If you want to loose more weight! Make sure you eat healthy, if you don't then its kinda pointless to run/walk

i would say doesn't matter..it mighth onvolve more muscle..but at the end of the day..what matters is your heart rate..as lnog as your sweating/ehart pumping..then your doing good cardio...

The key is heart rate. Running downhill will do plenty if you reach a fat burning threshold doing it.
