work out everyday at least 30 min -1 hr do cardio (fast walking, climbing stairs, jogging running whatever gets you tired and makes your heart beat) forget about weights in the gym that's only for shaping muscles and getting cuts
-cut 500 calories a day out of the 2000 recommended. eat at least 1500 calories total.
-eat foods in the most natural state possible, like real veggies, real fruits, cooked chicken at home, baked potatoes, fish, ground turkey burgers, homemade chicken noodle soup, don't buy processed outside food or frozen food or canned food or anything that comes in a box. only whole grain bread/pasta is allowed, or canned tomatoes/chicpeas/olives.
-for sweet tooth, have 70% dark chocolate, dark chocolate covered almonds, or kashi granola bars or oatmeal chocolate cookies. skinny cow candy and ice cream is good too, its portion control. greek yogurt topped with fruit is amazing too. cuties/tangerines are amazing to snack on too.
-for salty snacks- nuts, almonds, pecans, pistachios, cashews, blue diamond has amazing flavors like habanero bbq, wasabi, lime and chilli, theyre yum! homemade pop corn is good too, don't buy the microwave packet ones it has too much butter buy the raw kind add sea salt garlic and parmesan make it yourself. edamame is good too, or snow pea crisps. carrots, celery and whole grain pita bread with hummus is also a good snack.
-have only skim milk or soy in your coffee or cereal.
-no white foods, white flour, white sugar, white rice, white bread, butter, cream, whole milk, mayonaise- all disgusting and bad for u. stick with mustard, brown sugar or agave syrup, honey, whole grains, brown rice.
- I lost a lot of weight by being on my feet all day at work. walking around keeping busy is your best bet. may be try a new sport or hobby, fall in love with it like biking, swimming, volleyball, tennis, etc.

Come up with a workout plan. You definitely want some form of cardio. I suggest running 3 days then doing a machine two days (you can alternate this) at high intensity starting at about 30 minutes (gradually increase the time the more you get used to this workout). You want to push yourself.
You want to come up with a healthy, balanced diet. Cut down on sugary foods, especially drinks. Make sure you drink a lot of water. Don't eat anything fried. You should stick to grilled/baked chicken or fish. Eat a lot of veggies and fruits. Add a multivitamin to your diet as well. Also make sure you get wheat and whole grains from bread or even wheat pasta. You really want to try to eat 5 small meals a day. Try not to over eat even though you don't normally gain weight.
-Exercise at least 30 minutes a day
-Control your portion size
-Drink lots of water
And once in a while take a celebration meal to ease the mental load of trying so hard to lose weight. Just be patient, stay dedicated, and you'll get results
