Why do teeth gaps gross me out so much?

When people have a space between their front two teeth I find it SOOOOOOO gross.

I have a diastema between my front two teeth.Growing up I couldn't afford braces so...i left it alone.Its funny what some people like and don't like.I get compliments on it all of the time and even one of my dentists threatened to hunt me down if I dared to close it.He was joking of course.Not "fixing" them has been one of the best decisions I have made.But everyone has their own preference.

I don't know...personally...I find your "gross out" weird...but you might well find one of my "gross outs" to be weird...one woman put it to me like this: "everybody's got their weird thing and this is mine" she was referring to why she refused to put her hand in my sink drain...I just don't know why...I would have put my hand down her sink drain...(:
