Does coffee in the summer cause boils or pimples to the skin? on the face, forehead?

Well, yes. In my experience, I can drink all the expresso coffee I want without effect. When I drink any type of instant or pod style coffee, I end up with boils on my skin - happened as a child when I started drinking coffee, so I stopped.

Espresso fashion came along and I found that I was quite fine on an 8 cup/day habit. I've tried instant and pod coffee for extended durations (about a week) and then I started getting boils. This was limited to a 3 cup / day experience.

As a side note, I also have rosacea, which may be linked to the problem. the boils, however, are not on my face or chest, but in other (more personal) areas of the body.

Caffeine is not good for your skin through coffee and other drink. Avoid pop and other sugary cafinated drinks and you might see an increase in skin quality. Other things that will help is sleeping right and eating less greasy foods. If the skin is still breaking out go see a dermatologist and maybe get a prescription. I'm on medication now for it and it works great. Good luck

It depends on your own skin, One cup per day is OK to me even in summer. While I drink much water too. Because coffee takes much more water from my body! You'd better ear more fruit & drink more water to against skin problems even you not drink coffee in summer~

i don't think so, unless your allergic to coffee, or milk.  Did you try cutting it out of your diet and see what happens?

Sounds like rosacea.  Sunlight and hot beverages are both triggers.

LOL NO, it's all the heavy cream or extra sugars that might though.

Listen I drink coffee every day, I don't break out I don't get pimples all over my skin is good. I know many who are the same way.

Dont think so but maybe. Keep in mind you are sweating in summer so that contributes to skin problems if you don't keep yourself clean. Coffee is naturally acidic and acidic foods in general are bad for you.

coffee anytime can cause your skin to irriate...thats like asking does dirt in the winter still cause you to sneeze..js

no! it has to be a bacteria infection of some sort, you need to see the dermatologist for antibiotics and cream that is prescription only.

Coffe isn't good for your skin in general. In the summer months the effect can seem worse because you perspire, etc., so your pores can get clogged.
