Does that cause you to crave sweets the rest of the day?

I've never heard of this. There's ways to satisfy your sweet craving in a healthy manner (fruits, yogurts, most breakfast/snack/protein bars, homemade smoothies, cereal, etc.) I could go on and on with healthy sweet food. But of course you don't want to overindulge. Eat the proper servings. The last thing you want to do is to eat something sweet and unhealthy just in hopes to stop your craving for sweets.

Eating a lot of sweets in general will make you crave sweets more.

I think its important to have something solid in the morning, so some protein, whole grain, and maybe some fruit. A little something sweet isn't bad, maybe some fresh jam. However, I would refrain form a whole breakfast that is sweet, as they tend to be calorie heavy.

It might if you are getting so much sugar that your blood levels of it are way high. You'll tend to want to maintain that sugar high the rest of the day. That's why eating a lot of sweets at breakfast isn't the best way to start the day.

A little sweet fruit or a small muffin, shouldn't cause this reaction to happen.

No but eating something sweet like a cinnamon roll for example is a simple carb full of empty calories. So while it satisfies your sweet tooth your body burns through it so fast it leaves you hungry again quickly.

Sugar craving is an addiction. It takes about 7 days to kick it. I rarely have any sweets. And the tought of having something sweet in the morning makes me want to vomit! Your body physically does not need sugar it is mainly environmental

Theres no proof, though I would assume the opposite would happen if you went all out on sugar.
