i don't think government has nothing to do with it.
if the food is well made. the job conditions are fine. and the place is clean... the only responsible for what gets inside your mouth is yourself.
McDonald's has already salads and soup in my country (not sure about US) but I'm totally aware that the ''big size'' hamburger in Portugal is the smaller one in US.
You are the only one responsible for getting fat or sick. when we get a menu, here we have a description about all the calories, grease, salt... used on it, write in their boxes, so we can be able to manage how many calories we eat during the day (what, for a normal sized person who does not have an exhaustive job, shall not be much more than 3000)
if you eat it 5 times a day and don't get your a$$ out of the couch, it will surely show up in the size label of the cloths you wear.
but, well, people should responsible for their own actions - with that I mean, don't let yourself get influenced by the good smell of it xD

Uh what does the government and healthcare have to do with McDonald's?
I don't think they're going to shut down McDonald's anytime soon. It's too big of a franchise, though it is certainly unhealthy. What I think should change is their portion sizes. Some Australian exchange students came to my school last year and they told us, "At McDonald's, your smalls are our larges!"
Everything you do within reason can't harm you.
1-if you workout too much you'll get hurt
2-If you drink too much water itll hurt you
3-if you eat too much fast food it will hurt you.
This isn't about the government, this is about humans always taking advantage of things.
If you crave a grease burger once every couple weeks its fine. If you crave a grease burger twice a day, you're probably gonna end up sick.
Its all about being knowlegeable about health and knowing how to do things within reason.
Dont blame government bro. Within this subject (surpisingly) they don't have anything to do with it.
People might laugh, but they don't realize that once you overstep boundaries you redraw the map. We are suffering from an identity crisis. The government is so out of place and out of touch with what being the United States is all about that we are knocking on the door of economic collapse. It's doing too much and it's far too expensive to uphold.
We should have fallen a long time ago. But the fact that we have reserve status and a Federal Reserve that prints money day and night, there is the illusion of stability. Once someone calls our bluff, the paper dragon will be exposed.

Well we all know that the government is interfering too much, if people want to eat badly that's there problem as long as I don't have to pay for it. Plus they are a private enterprise which this country was built on and we need to run our economy so they better not close it down. This has to do with capitalism. I can't believe you ate it after a workout that's so bad.
The Government can't shut down McD's...
it is against everything your country claims to stand for...
Capitalism...There are McDonald's in countries with public option/single payer health care. You are either a troll or incredibly ignorant of the world.
"Now that government controls health care"
*Bullsh*t*Lol "The government now controls Healthcare" And bringing up McDonald's. No.Just no.
