SO before I start, I HAVE been to the doctor, and he told me I had a tight bone of muscle rubbing up against the bone. Something of that sort...(haha). Anyways, I have a realllllllly bad lower back pain, sometimes just on the right side and sometimes on the left, and maybe on both sides sometimes. It is very hard to describe what it feels like. It's just really super tight. I have is for maybe a year or 2 and my doctor always says the same thing. I did P.T for a couple months but it didn't really help, so I dropped it. Anyways, has anyone ever had a hernia? I'm wondering if I could be one... my pain goes all the way down to about my mid-thigh when it hurts. It hurts mainly when I sit down, and sometimes lay down.

***My guess would be that it is a herniated disc...?
If you had a spinal disc herniation would would have trouble getting out of bed. When you moved too much you would feel like you couldn't breath the pain would be so bad. It's not like you would just have a little aching... It would be sharp shooting pain whenever you move because of the pressure on the spinal cord.

Ouch, that sounds like it hurts!
My friend had one during his high school years because of not being careful with weights.
