All the guys went silent when they found out I scored a goal in soccer?

Ok so my question is that why?

We had a soccer match and I recently joined the team. On our way back the guys team came with us when they asked the captain who scored and she said myname the whole team was silent. It felt pretty awkward and I'm wondering why'd they do it.

We have different teams the girls team and the guys team so yeah obviously they won't be jealous or anything

The most logical reason for this is:

1. They envy you for what you are (you are probably a confident and / or nice person apart from being assertive)

2. They never expected you to score a goal in 1st place and when they realized it again jealousy and envy took over

Don't feel awkward but be cool and confident. Don't let them or anyone get you down EVER!

Sounds like you're not one of their 'in' crowd, and they're a preppy bunch of elitists who don't like to socialize with anyone outside their circles. And you are outside their circles, but now they have to acknowledge you since you scored the winning goal. What a bunch of Romney voters.

2. Also these guys may have their fav girls on your team and / or

3. They may have laid bets between them on the most likely girl to score a goal and you may not have been part of that bet that results in them not gaining nor losing (or maybe all of them lost to one person who'd named you)

Though I don't see why that's a big deal. I played soccer for years, and we had girls on the team, and they were good players, and often scored goals. We never treated them any differently than guys.
