Just walking down the street you see all sorts of differently matched couples. Short guys with tall girls, big guys and skinny girls, slim guys with slim girls, big girls with slim guys ... etc.

I think there are very few people who would not actually have a relationship with someone because of their weight.

However - I know a lot of guys that are a lot less attracted to obese girls. Now - this is not to say they wouldn't date one - but the whole dating game is different. But of course nearly every single time - personality is the most important aspect, so whilst someone may not be physically attracted to someone - they could easily fall for them (I've been in that situation myself). I know thinking about it, a fair few, average guys with overweight girls.

Great question.

I think guys would be less likely to date an overweight girl than a girl who's weight was healthy, but if he was dating her, over time, and then she developed a weight problem, there'd definitely be no problem with continuing their relationship (except for, of course other reasons, if there were any)

Yes it could happen. But it just all depends on what is important to him. I go to the gym 4 or 5 times a week. Keeping in shape and being healthy is very important to me. And since I started going to the gym, I've been more and more attracted to girls who take care of their bodies.

Ya I agree we should at least take care of our self to prevent the health issues that may come later on.

And obviously losing weight isn't easy. But the biggest reason don't lose weight is because they're lazy. They don't want to exercise. And I was thinking about this yesterday. If you use an elliptical machine for ONLY 30 min a day, 5 times a week, you burn 91,000 to 104,000 calories in a year. And if you take the average 2000 calories per day average, you have burned 45 to 52 days worth of eating. That's a month and a half to 2 months of food that is burned off. That's a lot of weight.

yeah, not often, but sometimes. Some guys like heavy girls.

It happens but the girl would have a better chance and more options if she dropped the excess lbs. and got down to a healthy size.

Being slightly overweight or even really chunky can still get guys as long as you dress nicely and are confident. But obese? Odds are significantly lower. Why not an overweight or obese guy?

From my observations, most guys don't care about a "few extra pounds." But if you are obese (and noticeably so), then the dating scene is just tougher. Yes, people do fall in love with people no matter what they look like, but we would all be lying if we say appearance doesn't matter.

i don't think weight should matter aslong as we have a good heart.. and if we take care of our bodies we can reduce the complications later on.
