Weight lifting question?

so basically I use to lift like a year ago but I got really sick. don't want to get into it but I lost a lot of my gains and weight. I'm not fat or ever was I was always the skinny kid. loved lifting and the way it made me feel afterward. but now I'm back to being on the skinny side its intimidating going to the gym. I'm in school and I'm really getting sick of wishing I was bigger and I finally made the decision to stop wishing and start doing. its sounds cliche I guess but I'm sick of the way I look and feel that I'm at the point something needs to change for the better. I won't see anyone back home for 5 months what kind of gains do you think I can see for not lifting for a year in 5 months. I will be doing a full workout don't want to list the whole thing but got it from bodybuilding.com eating a 4000 cal. clean diet. I'm deadset on changing. also for anyone that was the skinny kid how did you deal with the situation being the skinny guy in the gym if you ever had that problem?
