He may really like you and not want to put all of his cards on the table. If he was super sweet one day, he "has" to balance it with aggravating you so he doesn't seem AS transparent. It's that whole playground mentality. "I really like you a lot ..." Then it's all WHAM ! Over the head with a rock. LOL Most guys don't want to be that vulnerable.
