I have always been skinny but got my weight through weight lifting. I still struggle but mainly my struggle now is making sure the weight is not fat. I used to be 120 years ago and am 175ish now.
Have you tried cardio workouts? They can give you a reason to eat more. Short bursts of heavy cardio this way you aren't burning too many calories.

I used to have trouble gaining weight, but that changed when I began working out on my home gym. I gained some good muscle, and noticed that I gained a few pounds. My eating habits are pretty much the same as before. So, maybe working out, running, or some other activity that builds muscle can help you gain some weight.
get a blood test from the doctor. they could give you a better answer than we do here.

Rice is really low calorie and good for you. You aren't going to gain weight with it. Try seeing a dr. You def need to increase your calorie intake.
