Do you guys/girls with braces brush your teeth at a restaurant restroom?

I just got braces and I am wondering about brushing teeth after eating at a restaurant. Do you take a toothbrush and brush at the restaurant's restroom or is that considered wrong to do?

I brush after every meal and would like to know if that is okay at a restaurant.

No, I've never done it... Especially wouldn't want to use a public restroom for that purpose either, if anything that'd probably put more bacteria in there. Same for carrying my toothbrush about, it'd gather all kinds of horrible gunk I'm sure. I'm a clean freak, the only major fact about my toothbrush is that I keep it in my bedroom and not the bathroom. Why? When you flush the toilet it can spray bacteria a good distance. Frankly I don't want that on my toothbrush. As for it being OK to do, I don't think there's a real rule about it but you'd definitely seem odd to people. I think some people hear of flossing after a meal, not going as far as to brush their teeth.

I've had mine for like... 5 years, I think? I've never done this. I think that one gets used to braces after a while. I really hated having stuff cought in it though. Like trail mix and such, that's the worst. Keep on brushing if you mind, it's alright. I can't see why a girl would look down on you for caring about dental hygiene.

i have had mine for 2 years and 4 months. I'm getting them off in 5 days. and I would advice you to do it. or get a little bottle of mouthwash to use in the restaurant and then brush when I get home.

believe me you don't want to skip brushing. your tooth can decalficy and decay. brush your teeth and floss.

Exactly. Food particles stuck in there are gross.

And sometimes. Usually not. It's a bathroom. That's what they're for really
