I lost 35 pounds. It may not seem a lot compared to your accomplishment, but it's quite a few clothing sizes smaller. I tried on my old skinny jeans and they dropped to my ankles. So that tells you something. Anyway, I did buy clothes midway through, but I made sure they were very cheap. I borrowed jeans from an acquaintance who had also lost weight years ago but then packed it back on. So I wore hand-me-downs and some very cheap t-shirts.

I lost about 50-60 last year. I dropped down to about 105 and everything fell off of me, so yeah I needed new clothes. I bought a few items in the process that I could wear without needing to cover/pull up. But I regret throwing out my "fat" clothes because I'm 7 months pregnant and have gained about 60 back. And now all of my clothes feel like baby clothes to me. My weight never stays in one place >_<
I lost 70 pounds about a year and a half ago, and I didn't buy clothes until I lost about 50 pounds. I just bought a new pair of boxers last week, haha! Size 40 XL boxers when you are a size 32 now, plus they were old and stretched on top of that...
I lost about 165 lbs. many years ago and bought clothes all the time.

Yes do buy sum new clothes.Buy pants with draw string and just try to buy things that are not pricey. Also try to buy only when you're going on a special outing or something. Good luck on your loss and I hope you achieve your goal.
Buy a couple pieces, cheap ones, to make do.
