Do you know anyone who has survived cancer?

I have a pea sized lump in my right testicle that I can clearly feel its attached to it and not a skin lesion. And my groin aches. I'm getting checked out tomorrow. I feel like I want to cry.

It's probably just a cist, however if it is serious it's in an operable place so don't get upset until you know for sure.

My grandmother survived throat and lung cancer, she had chemo for 2 years and then her doctor told her there was no hope and she didn't have long. By chance, she moved house and was refered to a different doctor who was stunned by the previous doctor's relelation, booked her in for an operation, removed one of her lungs and all traces of the cancer, it's now three years on she's happier than ever.

It could be anything hun. I had a boyfriend that found a achy lump in his balls, he shit himself and wouldn't go the docs for ages. I finally made him go and it turned out that he had an extra testicle in on of his sacks, it had just got a little swollen so he now noticed it. So just stay cool and go the doctors it maybe nothing babe and I hope it is xx

One of my best friends had testicular cancer and he came out of it just as good as new. He's fully capable of reproducing still and everything functions down there just as it should.

Just go into the appointment with an open mind and stay positive that no matter what, you can conquer it.

Yeah my grandma used to have some, and some people I work with had some. Sorry dude, hopefully everything goes ok, be strong, men can cry too.

A year and a half ago my dad learned he had a massive tumor in his kidney. He had to have surgery to get it removed and that was it. The cancer hadn't spread anywhere else yet so he was fine. He didn't need any followup treatments beyond a yearly scan to check that the cancer hasn't come back elsewhere.

Of course, technically everyone is a cancer survivor since our bodies destroy screwed-up cells every day. Its just when our immune systems miss one of those cells and it starts reproducing that it becomes a problem.

Get it checked and maintain a proactive and positive outlook! Cancer is treatable when detected in time and is no longer a death sentence. I know several people who have survived cancer and remained in remission.

Yes. I guy in my church had testicular cancer. he's fully recovered and fine.

Yes I do the docs gave him 3 months to live. Was near 20 years ago now. Haven't talked to him in a while but his sister says he's doing great.

My mom had cancer twice and she is sitting right next to me.
