Does this happen to anyone else: getting a bugging itch when under stress?

in my case it is a scalp itch that gets very annoying.
Today it happened again and i realized for the first time it might be stress. i was clean and freshly washed. I needed to do something that i stressed about a bit.
Then my scalp started itching like crazy.

When I am very stressed, usually my anxiety will kick in, my skin becomes irritated and I cannot stop fidgeting and itching. Anything touching my skin will drive me crazy and it often can feel like I want to rip my skin off. I become too hot and all these itches make me more stressed and eventually angry. I have to strip off and sit down and cool down or I lose my temper.

i'm not that bad as you, i only get a scalp itch, but it's still bugging. Have you visited a therapist or something?

I currently have a mental health care worker and support worker, I was seeing a psychologist while doing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Am also awaiting a second assessment with a psychiatrist and team of experts. Between the lot are trying to find ways to ease my conditions to a more manageable point. I cannot take medication for any of my mental health due to having so many side effects when try.

I'm a lot better now than was a year ago, it's been all about avoiding stress and finding anything to help while am stressed.

I try to fiddle with my necklace to avoid itching at myself as less damaging. Having something easy to hand to get into habit of playing with when stressed has been something I've done for a long time as it helps prevent it getting worse sometimes.

Yeah it happens. It feels like it's sweating or someone's moving my hair bc I'm irritated while under stress and scratch my scalp a little bit, even after it's clean and moisturized.
