Dude I was like that, I didn't do it for any kind of caffeine need or anything like that, like you I just didn't like water much. Water only tastes good during physical activity.
But after you give it up you should start feeling better after a few days. For a few days you kind of have to force yourself, just put the cans or bottles elsewhere, out of sight. When you see it they trigger things in the mind that make you want it.
So just take a jump and give it up or maybe have a last one then put them all somewhere you don't see them. You can have one every so often just not everyday

My girlfriend stopped drinking soda. Just quit. After watching some morbidly obese shows she felt like she was ready to start healthy. We go to costco and buy those Kirkland vitamin water things and for her it makes her full faster. It only took a week for her to taste soda and grow sick.
Switch to sparkling water. I love Clear American sparkling water and get individual bottles of it at Walmart for only one dollar. It doesn't have any calories and tastes great. It also comes in a whole bunch of flavors (currently my favorites are Blueberry, Watermelon, and Fuji Apple).
start out by drinking crystal light. it has less calories and you can still get water intake for the day. if you don't like crystal light make ice-tea and you can also get your water requirements that way. you can get ice-tea bags at any supermarket.

Make your own smoothies and juices. Buy some fruits and berries, wash them, peel the skin off (if necessary), add into a mixer, mix. Pour it through a sifter if you don't like pulp.
When I was a little kid I used to drink pop up till about 7 years old, then I realised water is AWESOME and I've drank pretty much only water ever since, though on occasions I do drink pop or juice or something.. Just try only drinking water for a week and you should start to love it
I use juice + seltzer (sparkling water) and this is mmmmmm. Mix one part juice to 3 parts seltzer water. :)
I think you need to get use to water, because in the long run sugar laden, and carbohydrate dense food will affect your body.
I only drink water from the Alps.
Why don't build a house near the alps?I prefer water to soda but maybe you can try to switch to Gatorade?
If you're not doing it now, just keep that going. Or try putting Mio in your water to flavor it up.
There isn't a need to stop. Drink it in moderation, soda is awesome.
How about milkshakes or squash , flavoured water
sparkling water.
Just stop doing it.
