I agree with missophia.
I would like to add:
For perspective purposes, consider this: To get rid of one pound of fat, you have to burn 3400 calories. Guess how much calories a 180 lbs woman burn when she run (not jog, run - US Marine style) for 1 hour? 864. See the following:
link
So, for her to lose 1 lb through exercising, she has to run for 4 hours. That's tough.
Fortunately, if you sit around all day, your body burn around 1910 calories just to run your internal organs and such. You can calculate this more accurately here:
link
So, if you eat 1100 calories a day, it will be like running for 1 hours every day. Except you don't. Doctors recommend that you eat a minimum 1200 calories a day in order to avoid organ failure and diseases(MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THIS WITH YOUR DOCTOR!).
At this point, exercising will have 3 advantages:
1. It will help you burn more calories
2. It will make your body healthier, make your circulation flows better
3. Believe me or not, it will help you curb your appetite for heavy, fatty, savory, salty food
So, the next time you consider eating a piece of food you don't really need, imagine how long that you have to run with the US Marines to burn it off. Helpful links to look up calories:

I'd just run for maybe an hour or so a day. Try using all the muscles waist down. thighs, knees, shins, ankel and toes. Even when you're walking to school or around the mall, it'll burn calories.
I do that frequently, but I also do around 150-200 sit-ups or leg lifts whenever. if you find sit-ups hard, try shoving your feet under a dressing or door to hold them down. If you still have trouble, do leg lifts, lay on the floor and grab onto something to keep yourself still. Then just lift your legs up and down, you'll feel a burn after a while.
the heavier you are, the easier it is to lose weight. the best thing you can do is continue to exercise while eating better. keep track of calories and make sure you intake less than you output. that means you will burn more calories working out than you will consume. if it took 4 months to lose 30 lbs with a trainer, it will probably take you a year to lose that last 50 lbs safely. once you get to your target weight, continue to track your calories and keep the balance still heavier on the output side but not as drastic. you don't want to intake the same amount you output or else your metabolism will shift and you will start gaining weight. I know a year is a long time to see the end result but it's safer than alternatives.
my friend is in the same situation. she's recently started just eating more vegetarian foods, like vegie dogs, drinking lots of water and cutting her calorie intake. she works out a bit and she's dropped like 15 pounds in the past two months
