Are women's bathrooms really as nasty as people describe?

I've heard that public women's bathrooms are really nasty. This seems backwards to me as I hear men are usually the ones who don't clean up after themselves.

How nasty are women's bathrooms and can you describe any experiences?

On the man's side of things I have seen issues like the aftermath of men using a urinal for #2 and bathrooms stalls with underwear on the floor covered in feces and toilet seats covered in feces as well like a crazy explosion happened.

They aren't really that bad, at least by public washroom standards. There are always nasty gross pigs who don't use the hygienic disposal units for period products (that's bio-hazard waste, so it can be a health risk), or ones who don't flush the toilet, especially if a turd is left in there.

I've worked in places where I've had to clean men's and women's washrooms, and I have to say that half the time the men can't aim their pee into the urinal, and the women don't flush or they leave period blood everywhere. Most people know how to clean up after themselves though, so it's only a few who make the washrooms really nasty.

Women's bathrooms are disgusting. The most disgusting sight (and smell) is of a woman's period left in the toilet. How the HECK a person leaves their vaginal blood in a toilet is beyond me.

I've seen turds floating around in toilets and of course pee left to rot in there until a brave soul flushes it. And the majority of the public women's bathrooms I've been in have smelled AWFUL. That is the main reason why I hate using public restrooms, because usually it smells so disgusting. You would expect females to have more cleanliness about themselves, and to wash their freaking vaginas more regularly.

womens toilets are really clean where im from, i heard it was mens that were really bad not the other way round. the ones at our shopping centres have pretty spot lights along the ceiling, large mirrors and tall potted plants in the corners and each booth is really clean too.

the only dirty toilet I've ever been in was a mcdonalds one where someone had left their bloody pad stuck to the waste bin and there was two bloody finger prints on the tissue roll

Yea one store I was in the men's bathroom had to be pressure washed because some dude smeared his feces all over the wall. The underwear incidents looked like someone needed an extra 5 seconds and he woulda been ok. So he left his underwear on the floor.

With the ability of men (pretending to be women) being able to now use the same restrooms as women, really DOES create a "nasty" situation.

Well faeces being smeared all over stuff isn't a problem in female bathrooms (that I've seen), the worst is that someone has their period and doesn't flush, although once I saw a bloody tampon beside the toilet... Like did she remove it and throw it on the ground?

Well considering women fart more frequent, louder, longer, and smellier farts than men, there’s always a fart in the air. We fart and shit in the stalls, and I’ve heard that guys don’t do that. Even when we’re putting on makeup, one girl at the counter might rip a fart. Nobody will react because it’s commonplace, and not too long after the first girl, a second girl will casually fart while putting on makeup, and so on. Burping also isn’t uncommon. My trans friend said that the thing that surprised her the most about cis women in the bathroom is how freely and nonchalantly we burp and fart, and how loud and massive our burps and farts are. Also, how every woman seems to be ok with taking a dump in public, because men don’t do that. That’s why it often smells so bad in the women’s bathroom, because you’re smelling our fart gas.

Ooh, that's a tough one.

For girls, mainly most of them don't know how to handle their periods, so bloody trash, wrappers, and ahem... feminine products are strewn loosely in the stall. TOTALLY DISGUSTING.

Guys... I really have no idea. During a drill in high school, the "safe spot" was in the guys' bathroom. It smelled horrendous in there and the white floors were stained yellow, from what you can imagine.

I avoid public restrooms at all costs.

Yes. A lot of people pee on the toilets because they are worried they will get germs if they sit their butt on the toilet instead and they don't bother to wipe it down for the next person when they are done. One time I was tempted to photograph a woman who had done this and post her photo on craiglists.

Oh in the men's bathroom when they're someone who is too afraid to sit on the seat he'll use like 10 of those plastic sheets on the toilet from what I've seen.

most seats have pee on them. when im lucky, i see blood on seat and in the bowl. when im super lucky, i see it flooded with poop.

bf has sent me pictures of seats smeared with poop. i think guys got it worst.

seeing blood is no biggie, we see if every month. but to see poop smears? D:

Not usually but when they are bad they're REALLY bad. Don't see feces but blood, bloody pads, bloody tampons are what you'll see in women's restrooms. At schools they're pretty nasty. Young girls (teens through 20's) are some of the most careless people in life. I remember when I was in high school I had the displeasure of seeing a soiled pad discarded in the corner of the stall even though there was an empty disposal bin in there. I just don't understand it...

One time I did see an unflushed log floating in the toilet but fortunately I have never seen a poo explosion. I hope I never have to.

public toilets are normally disgusting...but the worst experience i had from the public women toilet is when i went to the public toilet which was on the beach during an evening (during a picnic)..someone has thrown her bloody sanitary pad on the floor and i nearly walked on it eww

Horrible and disgusting I always carry gloves, a little spray bottle of bleach and a mask just to goto the bathroom. I walked in a stall one time at the town center and an explosion happened and it was all on the sides and accidently put my hand where the explosion was and started to flip out. I rinsed my hand off in the bathroom then went home and thoroughly washed my hand with some bleach and warm water. Never again -_-

Men's bathrooms are worse in my opinion. I remember being a waitress at a few different establishments when I was younger and our jobs was to clean the bathrooms when it was slow and guess what? The men's bathrooms were always worse lol. So gross

Women’s bathrooms smell worse. People fart and shit freely in women’s bathrooms, whereas in men’s bathrooms apparently they have some sort of code against that. With women constantly farting in the bathroom, of course the women’s room is going to smell worse.

Yeah it's pretty gross. You would think the girls bathroom would be alittle nicer but it's really not. I've walked into bathrooms with pee and blood on the seat. It doesn't get worse then that
