What is the hobby you put your mind, heart and soul into?

Recently, someone inquired about one of my hobbies. It revolves around writing, but to me, it's more than just a hobby—it's my way of expressing myself.

I dedicate considerable effort to the tools I employ. While some of my notes are typed, I find a unique connection when they're handwritten. It allows me to feel and touch my words. What I put on paper isn't just text on a screen; it's a manifestation of my thoughts, emotions, and ideas woven into a story.

For this, I utilize ordinary student notebooks and vibrant markers. Additionally, I incorporate handmade paper and a feather pen. My collection of nibs comes in handy, as different papers require a different touch.

What is your hobby? Your way of expressing yourself?

sports might be the biggest of my hobbies

to play them, and to watch some of them... and I've done both for most of my life, and I do like it in a few different ways too, I like it as a game and the fun entertainment that it can be some times, as a competition and the thrill I can get from it... there's sure a few benefits that come with it, and it's also something I can share with so many directly or indirectly

it's have given me so much in return in a few ways, and since you mentioned putting the hear, the mind and the soul into it as well... that reminded me of being a coach in sports as a hobby, and an assistant coach as that... of kids, and teens, few older guys sometimes... I love teaching, so coaching is pretty much that... showing and helping others how to find their own better ways

when I grew up, I was helped by a few with sports... a few guys, older kids, older teens did take the time to show me how to play better, how to play smarter too... and how to do more with was I was capable of, and that changed my life in many small ways, but definitely important ones so I started to do the same...

just another of the few things that makes me really happy... lol

I'm not proficient in philosophy but can always pass time speaking about programming :D

Mostly python, not a good programmer but I help around some projects where I am handy. Usually with packaging and the likes that are closer to my sysadmin skill.

Python and Java are the only languages I didn't get along :D Somehow solving simple problems by putting my left hand to my right pocket didn't work for me :D

I write fanfiction, which takes a lot of my energy, time and effort. I really do enjoy it and it makes writing less lonely.
- though now I have gotten some friends who also write, though those are original stories.
On of them is writing an adventure/fantasy book, and all of us (his friends) has created characters for his story. And two of us especially help him with brainstorming and evolving the plot and characters. All of this is a hobby if itself practically. And it's so much fun.

And I also draw, mainly digitally.

No. I haven't sold anything yet. Or even made an attempt to. If I did it daily and made a lot, then I'd probably think about selling. Not sure what to do about my designs though.

You can sell it even if you create single pieces. On Etsy on similar pages really unique things are sold.

It's a career now but back before it eas my job it was dancing. I competitively danced from 9 years old to 18 years old. Then I started teaching it part time in college. Now I do it full time and have my own business teaching it.

I love writing too 🙃. I've actually been thinking about buying me a special/nice notebook and pen to start journaling again. I love writing stories too, but not on paper. I'm constantly changing my mind about what I want a character to say or do and I like being able to just delete lol

I love a good gaming session as well, and just dancing alone to music sometimes.

Magnet Fishing

The thrill of seeking unknown treasures in place beyond my normal travels. Finding new spots is almost as addicting as magnet fishing in them lol

P. S Magnet fishing involves the use of powerful magnets and rope to find metallic objects in bodies of water. People have found safes, weapons, electronics etc.

I used to be interested in many things. I built a small boat while I was rehabbing from hernia surgery. I ran marathons. I has a 4 wheel drive vehicle and used to take it off road. I had an uncle who had retired and was looking forward to the rest of his life. He was pretty wealthy. He took some kind of test to determine what his interests were. He said that when he got the results it said he was not interested in anything. I wonder if I inherited this from him?
