I mean I understand that is the thought what it counts and the intention but is giving food gifts really meaningful? I mean such as sweets, cake, cookies, etc. I mean if I want to receive a food as a meal like the ones I described I can buy the food myself any day of the year.

I dont want to sound disrespectful but I believe gifts have to be useful for the years to come, not an edible thing you eat in seconds and that`s it, the gift is gone, you know what I mean! Food can easily be forgotten even if it is the most wonderful cake, chocokates, or cookies ever made.

I mean if I receive gifts like that from someone well of course I thank them and it is appreciative but I rather receive something not edible and something that can be used for years to come as that way I will remember who gave it to me and be more cherished.

My brother for instane si alreayd 47 years old and since he was a little boy he always always had received chocolates or cookes as gifts, rarely he had received soemthing really he can use that is not edible from our relatives I mean maybe becaue food is the cheapest gift you can give someone and stil at at his age he continues to receive chocolates or cookes as gifts like he still is a young boy. I know my brother like sweets but for that he can buy them on his own any time of the year, but he Im sure would like to receive a more useful things that are not food and still can be cheap for the person giving the gift.
