@NonCreativeUsername During the 60s I had no money, during the 70s I had no time and I was saving every cent I could. No concerts thus, except the free ones: nearly zilch..
@NonCreativeUsername I loved a whole lot: French songwriters - singers (Brel) and American folk and protest (Bylan, Seeger, Joan Baez, PeterPaul & Mary, Tom Paxton, Woody Guthry. Also Leonard Cohen etc). And jazz & blues.
Was blues/hard rock music really advertised everywhere or is that just my impression since that's the genre that I focus on? Like did you hear about Led Zeppelin all the time etc.
@NonCreativeUsername I heard about Led Zeppelin indeed, but my interest for rock was already lost when I heard the Rolling Stones (before Led Zeppelin thus.) During the sixties one was for the Beatles or for the Stones, I was for the Beatles.
I was never a big Rolling Stones fan, they sure have their own sort of spin on the genre, but never stuck with me. I could see why some wouldn't like Led Zeppelin and the Rolling Stones. Though I listen to a variety of genres like jazz, blues, country, classical, Led Zeppelin is my favorite, just because they were so varied. Acoustics, hard rock, everything. I don't know if you listened a lot of Led Zeppelin, but if you like the softer stuff, I'd have to recommend them haha

Awww man... you were seriously on the wrong continent. 1967-1971? Crashing Woodstock? ):
My husband would've loved to travel back in time to the heights of London's mod/punk era. He's got the wrong skin color for it, but, other than that... yeah.
@redeyemindtricks Partycrashing Woodstock at the price of an intercontinental plane ticket back then? 2 months income pp. :-o We started in life without any help from parents and managed to get by but had to buy furniture, a car etc. I had only some old clothes. No concerts for us, certainly not in America.
A year later Jacques Brel was touring Europe singing The Man of la Mancha. We were craving to see & hear him live but we simply could only afford it if we scrapped all holiday plans that year.

Did you ever see any memorable concerts in the 60s and 70s?

:( What genre were you into? Were you glad to be there at the time? Or did you not like the music coming out?
