I don't know but I’m not taking it. I’m giving my children MY last name since I will be the one carrying them for 9 months and birthing them. So they deserve my last name first and then his.
It’s my opinion 👐🏻. I honestly have an attachment to MY last name and there’s a reason why I want my children to have my last name. I hate the stereotypes.
@Subarugirl Because literally every woman agrees to take her man’s last name except for a few toxic feminazis. And those feminazis are just jealous because they can’t get a good man with their toxic and shitty behaviour.
And yeah, you’re socked no doubt😂 You need correction in your English every single day. This is literally the third time I’m correcting you😂
@Subarugirl It's more like you're shocked by how many people including girls who agreed with that tradition. Yeah you can try to block me in here and let see if it really works because i'm not done with you yet.
@Subarugirl Since I've been correcting your English many many times before in your comments and posts, it's no wonder that you couldn't read what I wrote🤣
For the opinion owner, I suggest you should probably communicate this requirement to the guy you are looking forward to have a kid with, if you are planning to in order to avoid future problems.
That's like Tom Brady going to the Buccaneers and still wanting to be called a Patriot. You're on the team or you're not. To not take on the name is a disrespect to the husband.
Personally I'd never accept it. It's that serious to me.
Yes It is , but it’s also a nice tradition. Then when u have kids you all have the same name and really symbolizes family. I’m engaged and we talked about it, we are taking the traditional route!
This ain't outdated and doesn't even have a date or an expiry date, in a real sacred church marriage, the wife takes her husband's family name and that's the norm and god makes them one and a family...

I don't think so. I plan on taking my future husband's last name .
Why would it be outdated, there are some girls who use their maiden name and married name. Example: Amy Smith Jones. I think you should take his last name but if you don't want to then use both last names your maiden/married.
No, it's not outdated. If she really loved me and wanted to be with me then she'd have no problem changing her last name to mine. It shows her level of commitment and that she wants to be one family.
It's not really outdated, it's just one of those decisions you make... My mother kept her last name but my brother and I got my father's instead of hers. My parents married in the 90s, I think...
not outdated, but to me much less important than it used to be. It is up to the couple as to what they decide to do. It seems to make very little difference what they do today.
If it is outdated it should not be outdated. Taking a man’s last name just signifies a New chapter in their lives together. A woman taking a man’s last name does not mean the woman is losing her identity!
It's one tradition I think we should keep and I think it speaks volumes. What woman is really gonna make a big fuss and not do it? Probably a woman you shouldn't be marrying in the first place. It's a loving gesture afterall.
Some women don't accept it and it's their choice, we can't ever stop them since changing the last name brings a lot of changes in their life which they don't want to have.
Look where I live, mostly men take the last name of women so it's not new for me and some dont take it, we can't force them and it's your life and your choice, do whatever you want we can't stop you :))
Ok, but what if the women's last name is rose, and the guys last name is William, will it still be acceptable to go with "William-rose" or does the lady have to now have the last name "William"

I’m socked at how many people are upset by this

@OneManOnly01 according to evidence other than your personal opinion?
@OneManOnly01 she’s probably the one that has downvoted all the women who said they would take their husband’s last name out of spite.
@roaring20sman Or you could just ask me instead of pretending like I’m not here……
@Subarugirl now why would I do that when that got your attention anyways?
@Subarugirl this is probably you right here…

@Subarugirl I meant making you upset of course.
@Subarugirl The majority of this comment section and the majority of married women in the world who take their men’s last name. That’s your evidence!
@roaring20sman Oh she is definitely adding those dislikes, or her feminazi friends who are drowning in depression lmfao
@TruthBringer Yep the dislikers are definitely a bunch of jealous feminazis
@OneManOnly01 okay so just your opinion, alright
@Subarugirl Since I've been correcting your English many many times before in your comments and posts, it's no wonder that you couldn't read what I wrote🤣
Not enough opinion to share it here tho lol
Speaking for real tho, my mom just bumped her maiden name to her second middle name. That’s what I’ll do. Best of both worlds
For the opinion owner, I suggest you should probably communicate this requirement to the guy you are looking forward to have a kid with, if you are planning to in order to avoid future problems.

No not at all.
it’s sort of family unity.
unless of course you have a really wank last name, then you would really want to change it.
a lad I worked with took his wifes name lol
He’s was a Butt
Yes It is , but it’s also a nice tradition. Then when u have kids you all have the same name and really symbolizes family. I’m engaged and we talked about it, we are taking the traditional route!
No way! I would be honored to take a mans last name if he loves me that much to ask for my hand in marriage and me say , yes!
This ain't outdated and doesn't even have a date or an expiry date, in a real sacred church marriage, the wife takes her husband's family name and that's the norm and god makes them one and a family...

Yes. Lol women shouldn't have to take a mans last name in this day and age. He can take her name too.
Not for me it wasn’t. I was happy to take his name. But every woman has her reasons for taking, not taking, or hyphenating.
It’s entirely the woman’s decision. Which last name do the kids take? That’s a whole different discussion
Kids are gonna take the father's one then, not the mother's, the man is the father of the kids so yeah
as many and most traditions... it's an option and a choice
everyone can have their own approach to it... and that's it
I think it's nice I'm not a fan of the double barreled surname for kids
No, it's not outdated. If she really loved me and wanted to be with me then she'd have no problem changing her last name to mine. It shows her level of commitment and that she wants to be one family.
Wtf do you mean "if she really loved you"? She married you didn't she? If you really love her then take her ass name lmao smh
I would say it's not outdated but no longer required. I can understand that if you don't like the last name you don't want it.
It's not really outdated, it's just one of those decisions you make... My mother kept her last name but my brother and I got my father's instead of hers. My parents married in the 90s, I think...

If it was tradition for a man to adopt the woman's name I'd do it. You're making excuses, it's no big deal
Look where I live, mostly men take the last name of women so it's not new for me and some dont take it, we can't force them and it's your life and your choice, do whatever you want we can't stop you :))
And where is that?
If that's the case he should be taking your name
I am not getting married, sir.
Ok well that's gay and not based
That's not gay, what do you mean? I'm trying to be polite with you and you're just making things worse.
I'm kidding... unless I'm not 🙃
Well in my opinion if the lady likes her last name she should be able to keep it, but if she likes her husband's last name she can take his
DUDE YOU SURPRISED ME😂😂
I sympathize if he has an ugly name but you gotta be ride or die with Mr. Schmuffin nonetheless if he's your mans in my opinion
Ok, but what if the women's last name is rose, and the guys last name is William, will it still be acceptable to go with "William-rose" or does the lady have to now have the last name "William"
Because I think a combination of the 2 last names would satisfy the women and man
I think combining the names is respectable!
Glad we can agree on that! :)
I won't say its outdated its really the woman's choice because she'll be the one that will be owning the name. It should be only her choice.
