No. Father of the bride is responsible for costs of marriage. When someone doesn't like it, the person is free to move where it's another way around.

If I'm not mistaken, traditionally, it's the brides family that sponsors. But I guess you could still say it's a man's job to sponsor--it's just that the man in question is the bride's father.

bride's parents pay for the wedding. these are the rules
I paid for my wife’s ring, her family paid for her dress, her family paid for the wedding and my family paid for the honeymoon.
I leave that to each couple to decide.
In Korea, wife side pay for the wedding and husband side buy a house.
The bride's parents pay for it.
Father of the bride is the tradition
Blowing a lot of money on a wedding is foolish.
The womans father does
Pay for what parts of the wedding you request
@Gloree did you like my response and then dislike? Why?
Cos it was a question and not a response
It is a response! Maybe if I say it this way: “Pay for the parts of the wedding you request”
Okay.
Like, if the girl requests for what she would like you to sponsor, then you do it?
If she asks and I find reasonable then ok but not as a default
That's cool
