Is there any extent that one can go for retaliation revenge that is enough or even too much?

An average kid, but I did own a bicycle which was a pretty big thing. This little kid named T about 10yrs younger than me who had a terrible home life, looked up to me as a big brother of sorts. I gave him time when nobody else would. I made him feel like somebody. Every day I would loan him my bicycle just to see him happy. He moved away and I lost touch with T which brings us to about a year ago (25yr later). I happened to run into him at a grocery store nothing much has changed he was still down on his luck living in a tent at the time. I brought him to my apartment let him stay a couple of nights. He would go back to his tent come by and shower every couple days. Meanwhile I was looking for housing for him. My wife and I had been separated and going to counseling to work things out. We were actually making progress to my surprise. One day T stopped by and ask if he could shower of course I said yes. I introduced T and my wife it was high, hello nice to meet you blah that was the end of it. 3 weeks later I found out my wife sleeping with my old friend T. My reaction wasn't what i thought it would be. I didn't go crazy or wasn't really out of sorts at all. I simply call and asked T after all that I've done for you all I want from you is the truth, are you fcking my wife? Of course he denies but he was confused cuz I wasn't upset. She on the other hand told him to leave the country because I would eventually kill them both. Later T calls me confesses that he did sleep with my wife and he apologizes for it like that makes any difference. Evidently he talked to my wife again who knows me better than anyone and told him he had better leave the state as far as you can get, my reputation proceeds me. The following day T lets me know he's moving to Texas hehehe. I said it's the only smart thing you've done in your life T. also the dumbest, you said Tx. I can see why your wife left you. She couldn't stand your insatiable craving for validation and control. I imagine she got fed up with your anger issues as well.
As for T it sounds like you only took him in because you both had it rough and know what it means to come from broken homes.
You need to take a long look in the mirror and ask yourself, "is this the man I want to be?"
You can change your ways but only if you do it for yourself.

Sure I appreciate your opinion but one thing you need to understand I've never been a violent person in my life. I've never had anger issues I've never had hatred issues none of that to be honest I can't figure out if I'm feel more betrayed by her or by him. They say no good deed goes unpunished but I can assure you a deed like this will definitely not go and punished. And I know you don't know me but what I am saying and the way I am saying and thinking things is totally 100% out of character for me. My wife and I never thought we never argued I hate confrontation but I'm finding out that I really hate being stabbed in the back a lot. But I do appreciate your input I sincerely do but respectfully you have me all wrong. A man cannot be judged by one incident in his life this is all new to me and evidently I'm not very good at it.

No it's not about violence or killing , That is the opinion and words of others. All I did was track him down in forty eight hours. Sometimes it's the fear of the unknown that's more horrifying than the uneventful reality
