I was watching 9-1-1 tv show and the plot line was a couple days before the couple was to wed, they found out that one of them could potentially be carrying the hereditary gene for Huntington's which is an eventual death sentence as the body shuts downs functions in the brain over time such that you can no longer control your own bodily movements, your memory goes, horrible.
The character told his partner that if he did have it, he wanted them to break up and not get married so he wouldn't be a burden, but his partner wouldn't have that because the vows would be "in sickness and in health."
So what would you do if the love of your life found out they would have a debilitating illness that would 100% kill them in time.

If she meant enough to me to marry her I would
Not at all. I know that sounds terrible, but I will be honest: why marry someone that might die the day after the wedding?
Instead, I would spend as much time as they had left in the world. You don't need a piece of paper or fancy ceremony to show how much you love someone.
I really am not sure. I suppose I would.
