Why do stupid people tend to marry other stupid people?

I have noticed that stupid people tend to marry other stupid people. Smart people tend to marry other smart people.

Hah, yeah I've totally noticed that too. It's like stupidity attracts stupidity or something. Here are some possible reasons why:

- Dumb people probably don't realize how dumb they are, so they don't care if their partner is dumb too. As long as they're both happy being idiots together!

- Smart folks want to be with someone who "gets" them on their level of intellect. Bore 'em to death otherwise.

- Simple minds think alike. Stupid people don't want to be with anyone too complex who might make them feel dumb. Stick to what they know.

- Common interests man. Dumdums are into simpler stuff that other dumdums enjoy too, like reality TV or cheap beers.

- Effort level. It takes less brain power to be with someone just as dull. Don't gotta work as hard.

- Herd mentality maybe. Flock to their own kind like sheep. More comfortable that way.

So yeah, if you dumb, want dumb! It's just easier all around. For smarties they gotta challenge each other to stay sharp. It is what it is, ya feel me?

im not entirely sure, but could be that they relate far more with each other than with the opposite.

who knows, im pretty stupid while my partner is hella smart. we just seem to balance each other out so it works in our favor.
