Widowed man marries deceased wife sister - your thoughts?

As in many countries around the world, this kind of union is in a gray zone where is not legal, but neither illegal.

In-laws are legally recognized as non-related kin; so a relationship is not illegal per se, but a marriage should be granted authorization from the family tribunal. If said authorization is not granted or has not been asked, the marriage can still take place but the State can annul the marriage within a year and issue a hefty fine.

In this man's case, he brought up the fact that his sister-in-law had already built a relationship with his children and de-facto they were living as a familial unit for three years. The Tribunal gave him permission to marry the woman.

To answer the question myself, I don't care as long as the Law allows it.

That said, I would never marry my wife' sister even if she had one, to me it just doesn't feel right.
She says I should remarry if anything happens to her to give a mother to our children, but to be honest I think I could do just fine with help from our families.
