I had to really think about this. And my answer is based on the assumption that human offspring are being created like in a lab rather than born so the question is about love and companionship rather than creating a traditional family unit. And upon this consideration I think marriage would actually become more meaningful. Humans crave companionship, acceptance and a family bond. Having a child together creates commitment and a bond even without marriage. And yes, more for legal reasons than love, marriage becomes an important aspect of this for many people. So without that need... it can become more about love rather than legal. And I think people would love this and it's importance- to show you willingly committed to someone and to separate you both from the multitude of others - is what would give it a special meaning and purpose. Something that perhaps used to exist but has largely become obsolete these days.
deep answer I like that you really thing about things :D
Aww thank you. I am a current philosophy and psychology student actually haha. So thinking is kinda my thing 😊
If people don't have offsprings people will eventually not exist
that wasn't the question though was it?
Yes! Why not? You could find someone you wouldn't want to let go 🤷♀️
