Most men would ideally like to be married and have a family - but Marxism and other leftist ideals like Feminism (which is a very separate and different thing from EQUALITY, which is why it has a different name) have completely changed marriage, and Feminists pushed for changes in the marriage laws in the 60s and 70s that further destroyed marriage.

Today, marriage benefits women almost exclusively and puts all the liabilities and responsibilities onto men. If you look at what men and women get out of a marriage, you'll note that all of the men's responsibilities can be legally enforced, but none of the women's responsibilities can be. No court is going to force a woman to cook a meal, do a load of laundry, or have sex with her husband, but it has no problem forcing him to protect and provide for her, by giving up his money and property.

Further, modern women (yes, with a small percentage of exceptions) are not wife material. Most don't want to be wives and mothers, most aren't willing to marry in their early 20s, when they would bring the most value to their husbands, and far too many view marriage as a temporary thing that they can treat as a stepping stone for their future. The courts are set up where a woman can get free legal representation in court merely by making a false allegation of abuse (the allegation doesn't need to be proven to qualify), and the men are legally required to pay for that lawyer, along with his own, if there is a divorce or custody battle. This means that in the case of a divorce, the man can be forced to pay for BOTH sides of a legal battle, which she can extend for years at his expense, making it impossible for average men to afford to continue a custody fight, resulting in losing his kids entirely (but still having to pay for them).

Men don't want to marry another man, but modern leftist society has taught women to BECOME men and to value and prioritize traditional male values and reject female ones. Many women are PROUD to NOT do anything to help their husbands - they don't cook or clean or support their man in any way, and yet they absolutely expect him to support her in every way, because that's his job as a husband.

So, despite the fact that a lot of men would love nothing more than a wife and family, most women today don't share these traditional values. Hence the term "modern women": women who prioritize careers and independence and masculine pursuits over relationships and families and femininity.

Men can't change the choices women make or the values they have, but they CAN decide whether or not to be in a relationship with them and whether or not to marry them, and a bigger percentage of men every year have sworn off marriage. There's just nothing of benefit for most men in marriage anymore, and HUGE liabilities.

If the marriage laws were written up as a business partnership contract, and YOU were given the man's position in marriage, and you showed that contract to any lawyer, that lawyer would tell you to RUN AWAY from that contract, because you would have all the responsibility and none of the authority, and your business partner would be incentivized in a number of different ways to screw you over. But this is what women expect men to accept with marriage, and most men have wizened up and have walked away. They would rather be single forever - an awful position - than to be married, which under today's laws and society is an even worse position to be in.

Probably because, these days, "married" doesn't mean what it used to. Marriage is SUPPOSED to be a forever thing!! NOT a, "let's get married now and, when you start wearing the wrong necktie, I'll divorce you" thing! When married people get a divorce, which happens more often than not, these days, the man gets the shit end of the stick and has to give up half of what he owns to her! Unless marriage is gonna be a forever thing, who wants to bother risking that?

Most men do want to get married eventually. It's just delayed more now because promiscuous people get married older, and most males are promiscuous.
