Broke my leg 2 weeks before our wedding, what do we do?

We are getting married in 2 weeks and the other day i fell and broke my leg in 2 places. I will need to be in a full leg cast (toes to upper thigh) for at least the next 6 - 8 weeks! This couldn't have happened at a worse time! Our wedding is in 2 weeks! I don't know if we should postpone or try and carry on with things as scheduled? Or, if we even CAN considering I can't really walk down the aisle? Need some advice

My follow up appointment, post injury, with the orthopedist is later today. They'll likely put my more permanent hard cast on then This one will be fiberglass since I've been in the temporary splint/soft cast they gave me at the ER. Considering this is the cast I'll have for the wedding, what color should I get? I was thinking blue for the tradition of "something blue" or should I go with white to match my dress?

Honestly I think retelling the story of how your dad had to carry you down the aisle instead of walk you sounds fun.

Shame you broke your leg but with the right attitude this will just make the wedding more special. Besides, in sickness, health and broken legs.

Can you afford to call it off? I would just go through with it. It won't be perfect but it will still be a happy day.

I guess at this point being so close to the date, I don't think we could actually postpone. And I would never want to put my fiance through that. I was kinda caught up in my feelings a little bit I guess. Being soon since my injury happened and so close to the wedding, I was feeling a little overwhelmed emotionally and felt really depressed and devastated about the whole situation. Every girl has it in her mind that her wedding is going to be perfect... I sure did. But I guess if we can't have a perfect one, a unique one will have to do!

The one thing I'm really worried we may have to postpone unfortunately is our honeymoon. We're going to St. Lucia but I don't know about getting on a plane and traveling with this giant cast on my leg? Plus, it's going to be really tough to enjoy the beach and tropical weather like this. But we're talking about maybe doing a small honeymoon close to home where we can drive to it, and then going on our REAL honeymoon a little later, once the cast comes off and I'm able to walk.
