How do you tell a guy you're saving yourself for marriage?

I never had to worry about it in high school because I'm really shy and guys never tried anything other than kissing, but now that I'm in college, I realized eventually I'll have to tell a guy he's not getting far. The thing I don't know is how and when do I tell him? I wouldn't want to wait until he tries something, so how would I bring it up and what would I say?

Just be honest you'll find out if he likes you for you and when you tell him hell be OK with it. I know plenty of great girls I've been with that I could have gone years without sex with and I think it's great you believe in that kind of stuff because not a lot of girls save themselves like you and go off screwing a bunch of guys like a whore.

I think it's reasonable to bring it up anytime...but it might feel more natural to discuss right after a make out session or something like that.

Just be confident in your reasons for it, and remember that honesty is always the best policy. The rest will take care of itself.

If you're religious, and that's your motivation, you should ask a guy if he's religious up front. That's a good way of screening and then you can tell him how you approach dating. That way you don't waste your time, nor his, if he isn't that type.

Ask him what he looks for in a girl, and then you can say that you are looking for a guy that will wait till marriage.
