Okay I am in love with this girl. I planed this big day for her on Christmas eve. I was going to take her on a carriage ride through this rich neighbor hood and look at Christmas lights, I bought her this 10k white gold ring with our birth stones and our names engraved on the side. A very beautiful ring! When I gave it to her she said she liked it but that's it. Her sisters, friends and even her rent don't even know why she won't. I finally asked her why she didn't ever flirt back with me and her answer was " I don't know how to" I told her I loved her she smiled and said okay my friends tell me to drop her before she drops me but I am really in love with her. HELP!

We have been dating for one year, and I take that back she flirted once and this is how it went. She called me and I missed the call because I was at work and I texted her later and said did you need me and she said not in that way ;)

It seems like she is just shy and that she genuinely does not know how to flirt. If you have been dating for a year then she obviously likes you. As for the ring she was probably overwhelmed as it is a very generous gift and did not know how to express her gratitude. I think you just need to accept her and be confident enough with yourself to know that she cares for you.

I have a similar problem as her. I will call it a problem because it is not good if people can't tell that you like them. I am just a quiet, shy person and tend not to show my emotions (and I assume she is too), but those that know me well enough can understand my feelings without me being blatantly obvious about them.

How long are you guys dating?Those are expensive gifts and my guess would be she really doesn't know how to react. I wouldn't know either I mean damn it 10k unless she's really rich and used to it, it'd intimidating.

I agree! But, if you really love her then you should teach her how to flirt with you. Drop her hints and if she doesn't get it, then guide her without her noticing. I'm sure she'll catch on in no time :)!
