Were you OR was your parent grateful this Mothers Day?

My mom was so rude the entire week.  I honestly didn't even know about the holiday being this month but once i found out, I made her and my grandma some personalized baskets filled with sweets, treats, shoes, house decor,, gift cards, candles, etc. She pissed me off so much earlier in the week that i had to give the basket early on Friday because i feared I’d throw it in a dumpster before Sunday lol. But my grandma really loved and appreciated her basket. She thanked me many times while my mom was such a grouch. It could be because we never remember Mother’s day gifts but its whatever. I should’ve taken em out to eat instead cause that would’ve cost way less plus she didn't deserve what I spent on those baskets. I honestly think she was jealous that my grandma got a gift too but I only did that because my grandpa sure as heck wasn't going to get her anything. #FeelFreeToList #MothersDay

Maybe your mom felt embarrassed she didn't remember to give her own mother something for Mother's day?

Idfw these days neither does my mother care for these dates. Any day is Mother's day. I can do something helpful or give something nice to my mom. Surprises.

Yes, my wife, my mother and grandmother were very grateful. Mom got sugger free chocolates my grandmother flowers. My wife got an antique that she wanted from me. My daughter took us out to eat. All in all a good day.

I'm no contact with my mother, but I did go visit a sensei of mine who is a mother figure. I got her flowers. It was a mutually grateful exchange. We chatted and deepened our relationship.

My mother has Alzheimer's & doesn't know what day it is or remember that I went to see her. As for myself I have no children. Honestly mothers day doesn't mean much to me these days.
