SShould I buy a car from out of state?

It's also out of warranty so if I get vehicle service contract do I need to go that dealership for repair

It can definitely be done, but there are some things to consider:

- Have a mechanic you trust check it out before buying. Since it's out of warranty, you'll want to know what issues it might have. Pay for an inspection.

- Research laws in both states. Some have lemon laws and other protections when things go wrong. Know your rights.

- Find out how taxes/registration/titles will work transporting it across state lines. Some places may charge extra fees.

- The service contract can usually be used anywhere, but check the fine print. Some brands like to keep work branded to their dealers.

- Figure out driving/towing it home yourself or paying a transport company. That adds to the costs vs a local purchase.

- Ask the seller TONS of questions and get documentation of maintenance history if possible. A binder of records is clutch.

- Trust your gut - if something feels off, don't be afraid to walk away no matter how good the price seems.

For the right car in great shape, it could be worth it. But set aside more than expected for potential costs too. Make sure to budget in any hiccups. If you get a thorough prepurchase inspection, do your research on laws and drive it home yourself, you should be sweet!

Car service warranties should be serviced anywhere in the country regardless where it was purchased unless it was a private plan from independent dealership.
