I see a lot of people buy a 2 dollar can of Coke out of a machine and use a credit car to pay for it. They don't have two bucks on them?

I don't think I bought anything from a vending machine since 2024 lol But if I did want to, I would have to use credit card or tap because I pretty much never have cash on me. My husband has taken to keeping cash on him this year though. Before, he always felt that cash made his wallets too bulky and it made it feel inconvenient for him. So I custom made him a wallet that is much more space efficient and he loves it. Plus, he feels like carrying cash is more of a dad thing, which he wants now lol
My father used to say he felt baked if he. Didn't have a hundred bucks in cash on him.
I try to use cash as much as possible. The only time I use a credit card is for on-line purchases, gas, and more expensive items.
When we use our Costco cash back card for gas and stuff, we pay it of at the end of the month so as to avoid interest payments.
I have a credit card with a 1% interest rate that I use for on-line purchases and occasional other things. I carry a balance on that card and make automatic payments of $200 per month toward that.
Never, but a can of soda out of a vending machine is north of three dollars now too. A sixteen ounce Monster was almost five dollars, last time i bought from a vending machine. It’s the second highest cost of convenience, only behind food delivery apps.
No. I don’t buy anything from venting machines.
We are going to China this summer. I know it’s a no cash society… so … even a bottle of water and a pack of gum… it’s from buying through a code from the phone… so… no cash.
when they first implemented… little old people like 80-90 years old, poor, but all learned to use a phone to buy stuff.
I bought everything in China with cash, including hotels, food and bus travels. 🤔
I can't remember the last time I bought something from a vending machine, probably before covid, which was the last time I regularly carried cash on me too...
Some of the machines take min $5 for a small bag of chips and when pressed for time tap-pay tends to be quickest.
I hesitate to use s credit or debit card for any small purchases. Usually, the smallest charge is $15 or more for lunch
90%+ of our vending machines are cash only, I assume.
Some of the machines here are card only
I refuse to do it. I will find another machine
