I've been seeing this guy for a while now. And we have talked about making it official (bf/gf) but settled on just "dating" and "seeing each other" for now. We have cute nicknames for each other and whatnot but I was just wondering when a good time would be to call him "babe" and stuff. I don't want to do it too early, and I know it's not required but if it was, when would a good time be? When we're official? This one girl who has flirted with him in the past always called him baby. I remember him being so annoyed of her to begin with, but he especially pointed out that she "actually" calls him baby. Maybe because he didn't like her to begin with? So I don't want to be that girl who says it too early of course.

But yeah. When would you say is a good time? If not babe or baby, what other nicknames would make a guy feel good?

what I did with the guy I am seeing is around maybe the 2-3 month mark I started calling him handsome, which I think is a good generic name to call someone, its not a term of endearment but it tells the guy you like him and think he is cute.

OR you could just nonchalantly say it at the end do of a text, like in saying goodnight. Id only do it a couple of times, if he doesn't take the bait then maybe he isn't ready for it just yet.
