Girls who has or used to have long hair, isn't it uncomfortable?

Question

I have long hair not too long but still it gets under the purse strap (hurt sooooo much), or stuck under the seat belt above shoulder (this hurts too LOL)
and I sometimes slapped people with my hair LOL especially when I dance I do hair tossing thingy and *slap* no good LOL
today I slapped my doctor with my hair I was just turning my head LOL so funny hahahaha
Does anyone feel uncomfortable with your long hair?

My hair goes down to my waist and it cascades in layers, the shorter one being below the shoulders. I LOVE long hair, but it also gets to be a nightmare if you don't have the time or patience to treat it well. Mine doesn't get stuck under seat belts or purse straps though. But when I'm sleeping and rolling in bed or changing positions I might pull at it with my shoulder or elbow or something... also it falls out much more often than short hair does... but when you let it fall, shiny and mesmerizing in all its splendor for a party night... god... you fall in love with yourself all over again. :D

My hair reaches my lower back and there are a feww annoying things that happen:

-I can't tie my hair for long - it's too heavy and hurts
-my hair goes everywhere. My boyfriend tells me that days after I've been at his house he still finds long ass hairs around the place.
-during sex it gets in both of our faces. It is not nice.
-in the wind I risk being blinded
-it gets caught in things

Still, I think it's less maintenance than shorter hair. I never have to heat style it and so long as I brush it daily it's fine. :D

When it's windy, it goes all over my face and ends up choking me lmao. Once, because of the wind, I ended up shutting my car door on my hair ><

Getting it caught in jacket zippers :(

In the summer, it's like a heavy blanket right around my face/neck, AWFUL.

But despite all that, I want it to be long forever lol.

I ADORE long hair (the one thing that makes my head turn on a woman apart from a good swing on the hips :D )

EVERY woman including my older cousin & the woman I love have had problems with their long hair & wanted to chop it off. My cousin yes she did manage to do it but my woman didn't till we were together cause I'd manage it for her including combing, washing, tying it up etc :D :D I'd love doing that for her - it's an awesome feeling to nurture something you love on the person you love :D :D :D

Back in the 80's I had hair down to almost my waist. I had the seat belt problem too. I also had a problem with guitar straps which would be similar to a purse strap.
Of course the worst was when in a car, my hair blowing in the wind. Then rolling up the window and getting it caught. Or better still. I'd be in the front seat and my a**hole friend in the back would purposely roll the rear window on it. LOL!!
Damn I miss those days.

I've had my hair long for about 70% of my life, as a little girl until now only having it short like for 2 years or so. I am used to it and prefer my hair longer. I can NOT stand my hair being short, I personally don't like how it looks on me. It makes me look like a little girl, I can't do much with it too. Doing different things to my hair really entertain me and give me lots of ideas. My hair sometimes gets in the way, it gets pulled on, caught and in the way sometimes but I don't care I still love it.

I know your pain! I used to have my hair down to my knees, and from all activities ranging from skateboarding to dancing, it'd get caught in EVERYTHING.
A year and a half ago I finally cut it into a boyish style, but after I started dating my boyfriend said he felt weird having people mistake me for his girly boyfriend and finding out that other girls in our school were asking me out -- it's been about 18 months and my hair's 2/3 down my back, but I'm ready to have it cut again anytime now. Just not a fan of the struggle.

Back in school, up till about my junior/senior year of high school, I had hair all the way past my butt.
It would get irritating sometimes, because it would get stuck on the little screws in the chairs at school, and it would hurt so bad when it yanked it out.
My hair would get really tangly, too, without me doing anything to tangle it. It was really hard to manage. The good news is, this kid kept pulling out strands of my hair (he probably liked me or something), so I used my hair as a weapon and whipped him, and he was like "OW" in the middle of class. It was quite satisfying. :D LOL.

My hairs been long before, half way down my back. And it's gotten caught in so many things, it's annoying and painful. It was always getting pulled out cause it would get stuck lol.ive never slapped anyone though with my hair hahah

Haha yes! The whole getting under the bag strap is so irritating! And sometimes I don't realize and when I turn my head- Damn! Hurts!

And when my mom used to comb my hair into two plaits...She just kept forgetting that my hair was attached to my scalp!

Slapping with my hair never happened since my hair isn't that long.

Yes, sometimes when I'm sleeping I lie on my hair wrong, it gets caught and hurts so bad I wake up. Overall though I love my hair and don't want to cut it again. I've already had a bob like 5 times and a pixie cut once. I want to keep it long for a while now.

It does get caught on my purse and all sometimes. But I wouldn't trade it to short for anything. I love having long hair. I color it and the bottom 6ish inches didn't come out the same exact color as the top of my hair near the scalp. It all blends unless you look closely but I am a perfectionist yet I still won't cut it because I love long hair too much.

yeah cause my hair is long and thick so i use a lot more hair products like shampoo and conditioner when washing it. it also takes more time to dry using a towel and every time i go to the salon, the hairdresser often joke that i pay extra. :)

Short hair on girls generally isn't at least near as attractive as long hair, ass length/past shoulders. I hear it's a bitch but it looks so good. It would suck, I just got a half nch buzz cut, so easy to manage, no bed hair;

I have a long curly hair which go to my hip. It quite thick and make me feel hot in summer so sometimes i wear my hair in a ponytail it look cute hehe. Anyway keep your long hair because it will make you look beautiful and feminine ;)
