What do you think of gay romance fiction written by girls for girls?

I see questions often online asking why girls like gay romance (slash, yaoi, etc.). It's usually followed by an assumption that girls shouldn't like feminine guys. It just seems like they don't really understand girls.

Lesbians aren't necessarily feminine with feminine. There are those who are more masculine.

And in gay romance fictions written for girls by girls (it's a fantasy, not real), there are feminine guys and masculine guys (although those rigid roles probably don't exist like that in real life gay relationships). In those fiction, there are two attractive guys. Slash fiction and shipping are really popular lately.

1.) For me, I like seeing two guys together that are attractive. If one guy is good, two is better (especially if they are hot).
2.) There is no girl involved (no competition). And there are no girls that are being taken advantage of sexually or romantically so I can enjoy the romance without feeling like I have to conform to a role.
3.) Sexuality in p*rn , media, ads, etc. are usually geared towards men. You usually see females making the orgasm-like faces, the sexy faces. But then you usually see men standing next to them without any expression. It's like sex doesn't even pleasure them.
4.) Forbidden romance. It isn't the usually romance, but they love each other beyond gender. Love as the central theme. (There's also a trend in Asian romance shows made for girls with a wide girl audience about girls dressing up as boys and straight men falling for them while believing they were male... in a conservative environment.)

In gay romance fiction (slash, yaoi, etc.), you can imagine men in ecstasy.

The media sometimes makes fun of girls liking homosexual romance, but it doesn't really say anything on guys liking lesbian romances.

But some fiction sound like the writer is putting the guy in the women's position. For me, it's a nice feeling for a guy who's attractive to know what a girl feels, to be empathy to her. That's partly why I usually imagine a guy I find really attractive as... the bottom...(even though those rigid roles don't really exist in real homosexual relationships). I don't want to actually see him getting banged in real life nor do I want to bang him. I just want to see him... in ecstasy.

And part of the reason why slash fiction is so nice to read is that... the characters seem equal (even though they aren't b/c the girls usually have rigid sexual roles that remind us of men/women) and there's this feeling that the characters feel... right... for the roles, and it isn't forced upon them by society. It's not... you're a woman so you HAVE to act this way or that even though that doesn't feel right to you or you don't necessarily like being submissive. They are both men.
