No, you've got it all wrong. We're not allowed to date anyone. My parents are not oppressive. My mom even knows about the people I like, but I have never dated.
I don't find it intimidating at all. There are Some girls at my. university who wear the full parka where you can only see their eyes. Just by their eyes I can tell they're beautiful. :)
i find it arouses my curiosity but then it stops as soon as I think how out of bounds anything is.. a lot of women act like they don't want you to look at all so I don't know why they don't wear one or maybe they think I should have a blindfold
Well girls are girls in general -_- but for girls in a hijab it usually IS the purpose not to look, but i mean we dont want to be treated as beasts anyway yknow?
I don't know why are you asking? If u wear hijab it means that you are devoted to your religion, it's a personnal thing , not a matter of public opinion
No no! Im not being defensive I swear! Im simply curious. I get your point, but again it depends on the strength of the persons faith. I started to wear mine in Canada, its totally up to the person
Please dont think that!!! thats never the caseee!! dont let ISIS shape the entire religion. you wil not be behaded. i promise you. Seriously. there's like a gajillion muslims in this world. if all of them thought like that thre would be no none muslims
No, but I wouldn't date her. I don't have any Islamic Beliefs so we can't. :).

When I see any individual wearing, coonducting themselves or doing anything with any reference or connotation to the religion of Islam I get alarm bells that burst my ear drums ringing off. And a hijab falls into that category.
Maybe I should explain my reasoning behind this. I am a solider, Special Forces Branch, so when I say I've seen shit, I've seen the worst of the worst. I do agree that those I have seen do things in the name of that religion, inhumane things, aren't representing the entire Islam populus, but forgive me if I relate the clothing of individuals who have blown up my friends... My Brothers, to that, of clothing normal civilian followers wear. This perspective is likely to be one I take with me to the grave, sadly, but it is how I have become wired to think in order to survive.
I completely understand and its normal because that IS their purpose. They show themselves in headscarves and kill innocent people "in thename of God"? Complete bs. I stand by your side whwn it comes to going against those people... or i dont even want to call them people because they're a disgrace to humanity. Just know that true Muslims do not practice their made up beliefs. This is why I asked this question because thanks to them, I probably scare off a lot of people I could have potentially friended. God blesa your friends
Thank you for your understand, I am sorry if my point of view came off as blunt, it was not my intention. I hope the day does come when such bullshit comes to an end and I am sorry but most soldiers do feel the same way

Yea because they probably have strict parents that won't let their daughter date a fellow black man like myself

Wait so you're not allowed to date or was that a typo

They usually are :)
I completely agree with you! :)
Yes i find it intimidating. Its a way to say " back off" to non Muslims. They tend to be offstandish too.
nope not the slightest they are just a piece of cloth
Nope. But others might be, because of the stigma behind them now.
i find it arouses my curiosity but then it stops as soon as I think how out of bounds anything is.. a lot of women act like they don't want you to look at all so I don't know why they don't wear one or maybe they think I should have a blindfold

The thing is then I have to listen to your voice and I get go to town on sounds
I don't have a thing against their religion, but the hijabs itself really creeps me out. It's very intimidating.
why?
@googlenexus It just looks very strange.
Well I guess it changes from person to person. Just dont be scared of them they're people like every other person
No, I would not be scared by a girl wearing a hijab.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts :)
I don't know why are you asking? If u wear hijab it means that you are devoted to your religion, it's a personnal thing , not a matter of public opinion
It doesn't bother me. Hijabs are beautiful and if a woman wants to wear one that's her choice.
Scared? No, but I do feel sorry for her and I really want to express, how much I am against the whole thing.
Well its the girls choice at the end right? :)
If it is the girl who have in fact chosen it, then yes it is. I just don't agree with the religion, or any other religion.
No, I am not scared. I dont pay much mind unless I think she is American born, then I wonder why she would do that.
Why can't she? I know a lot that are born in American/Canada and yet chose to wear it
I didn't say she can't so dont be defensive. It is odd amd not usual.
No no! Im not being defensive I swear! Im simply curious. I get your point, but again it depends on the strength of the persons faith. I started to wear mine in Canada, its totally up to the person
I think I would be killed if I show interest in you because I am not part of that group and many times they are violent.
Please dont think that!!! thats never the caseee!! dont let ISIS shape the entire religion. you wil not be behaded. i promise you. Seriously. there's like a gajillion muslims in this world. if all of them thought like that thre would be no none muslims
OK, I'll try to be more open when I meet another girl like that.
Please do!! Please please please, it would mean the world to muslims if they figured that people are jsut not scared of them
It's not intimidating, it's just a turn off. Religion is a turn off.
My mom also wears hijab, and i don't think there is a reason to be afraid from her :D, P. S. I am an atheist.
thats cool! sooo im guessing she converted?
No, we are a muslim family, I born as a muslim but i choose to disbelieve.
ohh, where are you from?
Turkey
Okay thats weird so am I
No, but I wouldn't date her. I don't have any Islamic Beliefs so we can't. :).

Its unfortunate that you feel that way. I hope you change your set of mind because we also dont cover our brains, we only cover our hair.
