Why is it such a big deal that im naked in my own room?

Everytime someone comes in my room
"omg put a shirt on!!"
... omg get out..

whenever company comes over my mom calls and tells me to make sure im dressed.. like if they don't wanna see boobs tell them not to come in my room..

but out of respect for myself, if i leave my room i will put on a robe..
i hate wearing a bra, its very very very uncomfortable
so i'm just in my underwear unless i leave my room

They should knock on the door, if you say busy don't come in then they need to go away. Your door is shut, your room at home so I see no big deal with not wearing a bra, clothes. But yea, I'm like you put the rob on if going out of your room. I'm sure these guests have been over several times, theyre not royalty so. They can get used to it. I'm at home, in my sweats, my friends come over, I'll throw a rob on as I don't wear my bra at home either. They're not company or guests so they're used to me by now! Lol

I understand that it's your room but you should still have manners and respect for other members in your home. You share the house. You are allowed to enter other rooms and members are allowed to enter your room. Would you like it if you wanted to ask your mon something in her bedroom and caught your dad naked on the bed or wherever? Probably not. The best solution in my opinion is to just wear a shirt. If you don't like bras, at least wear a shirt.

My parents / family knock and walk on in without permission... They should be the ones adjusting but they don't because its "their house" and they can walk in as they please

it's not a big deal, I also like to be like that when I'm alone. But just make sure if people around you are annoyed, then it's better when they come over to ur room, you put clothes. Unless they could just accept ur behavior, then there's no problem if u stay naked in room when they come over.

hmmmm well you can always just protest like the ladies do in new york city and just walk around with your boobs hanging out.(if you know better not to do this, then you may understand what your parents mean) I understand that you need your privacy, and a robe is pretty cool, but when visitors come over it kind of goes overboard. I used to walk around in nothing but my underwear and my stuff was showing as a kid but I was unaware of why it was frowned upon. this is why there are some people who follow the ideology of being a nudist which are basically people who walk around naked in their house, beach etc... You can practice this later on, but for the sake of your parents which you say they have no privacy, wear a robe.
