Do you think people avoid conversation with you when you are reading? Are you less inclined to talk when you're in a good book? Do you refrain from addressing someone when they are reading a book or kindle?

I think it gives the appearance that person is busy and occupied with reading.  Probably the best thing to do is to approach the person later.

I think a woman looks more attractive when she's caught up in a good book, but that also makes her difficult to approach. It's very hard to not seem rude when you are interrupting someone's reading.
