I'm a short man. In a sense this is true but ultimately women aren't of the same mind on this even if in general they act like they are. In my experience I haven't yet needed to do weird stunts and show off flashy materials to get success in dating, but that I don't do that might explain the scantness of my success that I do have in dating. Ultimately we're all doomed to have to play to our strengths, with some of us, we have so few that peacocking is the way.

It isn't like peacocks aren't themselves good evidence of the tactic working, it's woven into their selection process. But we're not peacocks, so the extent to which we can draw parallels is limited.
