Guys, are you a protective brother to your sisters?

Question

My 27yo brother has never really been 'protective' but it's hugely because there is nothing really that he has to protect me from. But I have seen his protective side come out in the form of giving me lectures in certain situations. 😂

Of course, it's not a question of whether or not being protective is a good or bad thing. Not all brothers are protective, that's okay.

I'm the youngest of all my siblings so I never really felt the need to be protective when I was younger. They were usually protective types towards me. But now that I'm older, I'd have no problem. But my sisters are very independent so I've never had to. They have always been able to handle anyone who has ever crossed them.

So I guess I will expect them to get through things because I've seen them do it before. But if I see them unfairly struggling because of someone else, I won't hesitate to help.

I would like to be. But I think I'm too nice of a person. I could threaten my sister's boyfriends but it just wouldn't be polite and besides I'm nonviolent anyway. So if I followed through with the threats then I would go to jail and I don't want that to happen. So I basically just let her handle it. Am I wrong?

I have a little brother, 12-years-old. He's not overly protective but I remember once he came with me and my mum to one of my parents evenings because he wanted to see what my school was like (I was in secondary and he was still in primary) and he noticed this one dude staring at me, and he'll deny it when I bring it up- but he got really triggered he was all:
"Why is he staring at you? Weirdo!"

I'm the youngest and only female in my family. So my 2 older brothers kept a sharp eye on me. To this day, my eldest brother is still checking up on me, making sure I'm okay, we hangout every now and then to catch up eventhough he's got his own family already.

My brother has always been protective, even though he is 3 years younger. He was like that with my mum, too. Now mum and I both have partners, he is not so demonstratively protective, but if need be!!!

naw i'm probably not. my sister is super stubborn. she does her own shit. she doesn't listen to advice at all. if i even give her friendly advice from my personal experience, she'll interpret that as me not supporting her decisions, which is bullshit so i stopped helping her.

Always. I don't care which man claims to have a reason to bother my sister for what she may have done to him. The point is that I think men are effeminate if he lowers himself to attacking women. Be a darn man and take a hint or learn your lesson if she slaps you for pushing her limits too far. Men aren't to behave like women.

Pretty much, lol. My sister is 3 years older, but I sure as hell kept an eye on who she was dating. This guy is alright, but I better not hear anything bad. They've been going steady for years and have a house together now, so she'll be fine ^^

If I ever heard about someone hurting her though, I will legit take a plane back and take care of it myself.

If something were to happen to me, I'd give everything I left behind to her as well. She's been a great sister.

Only to a very limited extent (physical harm, which has rarely been an issue). I've never got involved in their relationships and would not have been welcomed doing so anyway.

I don’t have a biological brother, I have a younger sister.. My job was to protect my young god brother when he was a newborn. Attended his birthday party about a year ago. He’s probably a big toddler now, but I haven’t seen him since.
