What are some things you are grateful for today?

My late ex used to talk about gratitude all the time and how to be positive and happy, you have to be grateful for the good things in life. Keep in mind, despite being positive, sunny, and energetic, she was far from naïve and knew how much the world sucked, at times. I did not have her optimism at the time, but 2020's now got me thinking a lot about it.

I just found out the other day I'm getting laid off from my new job after a month due to COVID (and other stupid reasons, like "wanting more women"). However, I'm in Seoul and I have about three grand (USD) of disposable income in the bank right now, even if I have to find a new place to live and a new job after Fall hiring season just ended. But still, could be worse. I could be back in Biden's America right now.

What are you grateful for, right now? It can be anything. Just keep being grateful for it and don't forget it.

Still breathing. So there is that. Haven't had any health issues which is also good. Still employed (hours have been cut but my rent is cheap and I don't spend a lot of money so its not hurting me economicaly speaking).

My wife, my home, enough income to maintain our moderate lifestyle, and the fact that I'm retired.

I’m grateful for my loved ones being safe and healthy. Even though we’re not spending Christmas together at least I know they’re alright.

My parents are still alive, I still have a job and a regular income, I am healthy, I have a home to come to every day...
